Head of Foundation – Sport & Entrepreneurship | Foundation
YOUNG Foundation is dedicated to the development of young talent by connecting sport and entrepreneurship. We believe that values such as discipline, perseverance, teamwork and the right guidance are essential for success, both in business and in sport.
Based on this belief, we support young entrepreneurs through mentorship and access to a strong network, and we invest in youth and talent development through sports initiatives in the Netherlands and internationally.

We’re looking for a builder with purpose.
Someone who believes in sport as a powerful tool to shape character, discipline and opportunity — and who knows how to turn that belief into structured, high-impact initiatives.
As Head of Foundation – Sport & Entrepreneurship, you will take ownership of the next chapter of YOUNG Foundation. You’ll help define where we focus, how we grow, and how we create real, measurable impact for young talent. You’ll work with a high level of autonomy, while staying closely aligned with the Foundation’s board and the broader YOUNG ecosystem.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable building from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Shape and execute the strategic direction of YOUNG Foundation together with the board
- Design, launch and scale sport and entrepreneurship initiatives with clear impact goals
- Build and manage partnerships with sports clubs, NGOs, schools and social organizations
- Develop and oversee sponsorships, grants and fundraising initiatives
- Track impact, budgets and priorities with clarity and discipline
- Share progress and insights with the board and key stakeholders
- Strengthen the connection between the Foundation and the wider YOUNG ecosystem
Requirements:
- Strong affinity with sport, youth development and entrepreneurship
- Experience within non-profit organizations, sports initiatives, social projects and/or fundraising environments
- Proven ability to build and manage meaningful partnerships and networks
- Comfortable working independently with a high level of ownership and initiative
- Able to bring structure, clarity and follow-through to projects and processes
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with boards and external stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English
